So the silly season is in full swing with the sackings this week of Steve Clarke (West Bromwich Albion) and Andre Villa Boas (Tottenham Hotspur). The writing has been on the wall for AVB for some time now after spending so much money in the summer. The dismissal of Clarke came as more of a surprise but with a record of just 7 wins in 2013 probably justified.

West Brom themselves face a tricky home tie against Hull City this weekend. The baggies face a tight and determined tigers and for will probably be settled by the odd goal. Shane Long faces the team he almost signed for on deadline day and has been in good form of late.

The big teams really get going this time of year and you cant see much trouble this weekend for the likes of Man City at Fulham, Liverpool at home to Cardiff and Man Utd at home to West Ham.

Stoke performed well in the second half at Hull on sunday and are a good bet at home to Villa who suffered a 3 nil loss to Man Utd yesterday.

This weeks Football Forecast accumulator for the english premier league look like this…

Fulham v Man City
Liverpool v Cardiff
Man United v West Ham
Stoke v Aston Villa
