It’s been a long haul, 7 months in fact, but I’ve finally finished re-engineering Football Forecast. The product of which is version 6.0 which i have today released to both the Apple and Android app stores. The Apple app store can take anywhere from 1 – 7 days to update, the Android update should take effect tonight.

Version 6 utilizes the very latest in mobile application technology which gives the app a much more modern look and responsive feel. The framework used gives me the opportunity to continue to improve and add more functionality in the future.

New features:
YourCast: This is basically a user voting system. Users can cast votes on aspects of each match such as home, away, draw, over/unders and both teams to score (BTTS). The results of which are collated and redistributed back to the app in the form of the top 10 most popular votes by the public. This gives the app more interactivity with the users and provides another list of popular bets chosen by you, the public.

New Graphing Functionality: I’ve incorporated a new graphing engine into the app. The original graphs used where slow to load and pulled from a web service which used data. The new graphs are generated within the app itself with no external calls.

There are a few other enhancements incorporated into the app such as form positions next to team names, a new summary of each match and a filtering function to see today’s matches only in each section. I’m still working through the list of suggestions for improvements so watch this space.

I’d appreciate any comments.

Regards,

Richard

Your app is great. Thank you.
But it would be fantastic if you put there a point below to show a kind of statistics or results. Just to see which predictions were right or wrong.

Great site but it would be good if we could have an auto list of team to win & both to score as that has become a very popular bet

    Hiya,

Just wondering if the app is still available? Just updated my phone to latest iOS and the football forecast app is no longer there?

Love the app but it’s not listed in the App Store?

    Keep up the good work!

    With thanks,

    Andy

Hi. Yes the app is currently offline on the apple app store. It will be back hopefully before the end of the season. Its available on android it that helps. I guess you must have uninstalled the app as the ios update wouldnt remove any existing apps?
